I'm doing some work with the ebsa285 and a dec tulip. I've made a few modifications to
the tulip receive interrupt handler, which have increased the time required to service
an interrupt.
I am having a problem with a kernel lockup when the tulip does more work than its
budget allows. The problem seems to be caused by the addition of a while(1); statement
when the tulip encounters this condition.
I noticed that the unpatched kernel source does not have this statement.
Could someone explain why this is necessary? Any ideas on how to fix this would also
be greatly appreciated.
I'm using 2.2.9 with the rmk2 patch.
Thanks,
David Friedman
