For the record, I've also had random hang-ups when using the 100Mb ethernet
card in the Netwinder, which I believe is tulip based, (correct me if I'm
wrong).

I've had to give up using it and everything's been very stable since I
started using the second (slower - not tulip) ethernet port.

... but I guess this info. doesn't help much...
