But as you said there is more life (developement momentum)  behind gtk/Qt
than Motif.
But the release of the Motif code, will definitively give some incentives to
Unix application vendors to recompile their apps for linux,
since they can now assume that everyone will have installed it by default.
(future distros)

BTW: I was unable to display the PNG picture with Netscape on a RH 6.2 box.
I had to use wget + xv   :-)
