Agreed as well.  My friend has over $1k of sample librarys that he wants to be able to 
use.

Sounds a good a place to start as any...  

First we need to define the set of needs to address.  What exactly are the 
requirements of 
a good keymapping system?.  As for the audio format I guess .wav is as good as any 
unless 
someone has a compelling reason otherwise.

Excellent, I need to hook you up with my friend wo is writeing out a spec for the UI 
interface.


Oh and PS on the patent.  I had a good conservation with my Patent lawyer friend this 
weekend.  I won't go into all the details just yet but I don't think the patent will 
pose 
any problem for this project.
