IMHO, i think a freshmeat-style site for linux audio plugins is just what we need. it must say if the plugin work correctly from a technical point of view. It may allows user to add tags on a plugins (like 'electro' 'distortion' 'classical') and allows other user to rate the pertinence of the tag.
