Is that realistic ? Would you do any serious audio work and leave all the desktop toys enabled *on the same card* ? For any serious music and audio software there is (for me) just one answer: JACK, and maybe also ALSA. For all the rest I think ALSA's dmix device is the right solution. -- FA
