The argument that Linux MUST have windows like win-95 to be
popular is to say that win-95 is good. And a screen saver should be like
Linux comes with out of the box, a blank screen.
I have a small old 486 laptop with linux loaded along with all the
various compilers and the DOS cross compiler. It has no X because there is
too little hd space. But I can write code with Joe which is my editor of
choice and develop it and convert it from unix to DOS or Fortan or other.
So I say to want to use Linux tells me the person has more than a
layman's understanding of computers and wants a tool that works better
than DOS or win-95. Anyone who has tried to write code for a Z80 processor
knows you don't want to do it on DOS! It works just fine on Linux.
Best wishes
