KDE Fonts

Hi, 

I'm currently running Caldera 1.3 OpenLinux with KDE.  I have a problem where
within a few minutes of browsing the web (either with Netscape or KFM) the
fonts go squirrley and I have to exit KDE.  

Has anyone seen this before?  any fixes?
