LILO will do the job just fine. I think that the best place to start to
learn about LILO is "man lilo.conf". That'll tell you enough about how
to boot any number of Linux systems plus one Windows/DOS-like system.
 
LILO can actually boot more than one Windows- or DOS-like system, but
it has to be rebuilt with a safety check removed. Doing this requires
that the boot manager be able to rewrite the partition table on your
first hard drive. While most boot managers do this without telling you,
LILO won't let it be done unless you explicitly enable the capability.
 
If you want to really learn about LILO, then the README file which
comes with its source package is what you want to study. I have it, and
do not mind sending it to you if you don't have it and would like to
check it out. It's huge, though, so the best thing to do to get started
is the lilo.conf man page.
