I know that there is no need, but I would still like to see it. I would
like to see a compiled executable that could replace chat and is
specifically designed just for dialing modems, redialing on busy etc, and
reporting the baud rate when it connects. Something that would not
require me to install other packages. Using expect would require (I
think) two RPM packages (TCL and Expect).
Of course, I'm too lazy to write it....
