I myself would stay away from non refferred to Hardware Compatability List
Network Cards as i tried to run some C/Net one time and whoa that was much
less that fun. I still look at them on my shelf from time to time to remind
me about the countless hours i spent trying to get them working when using
supported cards like 3c509's it was a simple chose from menu and go:')
Stay well away IMHO.
