hi Everyone,
got the rpm's for the latest bind and did build but
the pkg called
bind-devel-8.1.2-5.i386.rpm errors out with a
'/usr/man/man3/gethostbyname.3 conflicts with file from man-pages1.17-1
cannot be installed'
The other packages confirm that they are installed and are
bind-8.1.25-src
and
bind-8.1.2=5-util
strangely it says that the new named.conf will replace automagically
named.boot but this does not occur the only reason i am sure that
the install was successful is by doing a
#strings /usr/sbin/named |grep @#named
ANY IDEA HOW TO GET THE DEVEL fixed?
