I understand your pain (WinModemOwner :-( )...

you can mount your Win95 partitions using the "-t vfat" option (this is
for the FAT16, I don't know the FAT32 option, and I think the latter
only works with kernel 2.0.35<)

so, if you have the win95 FAT16-file system, do
"mount /dev/<win95_partition> -t vfat /mnt/<win95directory_under_linux>"
and be happy...
