You'll need to install the latest initscripts rpm first (this is what I've heard on the various lists and what I did). After that, grab the kernel from ftp.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/v2.1 and then read the kernel HOWTO at sunsite.unc.edu/LDP/ldp.html for the details on building a kernel. Good Luck, Michael
