Is there a patch for samba or a newer version that fixes this? Since my
last post, I've noticed that it works from win95, but not from win98. And
I don't have access to an nt machine to see if it works from that. I'm
assuming that win95 ships the passwd encrypted and win95 does not. Is
there a way to get samba to check for both?

I'm not sure, I haven't tried it, but I think this is it (saved it off
news 2 weeks ago)... This is for NT, is there the same parameter in the
Win9x registry... ?
