LILO does hang up occasionally. Try using a LILO boot disk to get into your
linux system. I also had similar problems with LILO when adjustments to its
time delay were made. Try a smaller delay of let's say 5 sec. Run lilo and
see the output. Also one may use a boot disk as a permanent solution but
that is not what I would do.
try "df" and ensure LILO knows the partitions properly by asking it to be
verbose.
