Actually it is not if you will use it on a computer with 9 or more CPUs.
Otherwise you can download it for free from sun.com or free.com and use it
on a computer with up to 9 CPUs, I don't think that you'll have any
problems

You have to purchase media kit for $75 in which case you get Solaris and
few
other CDs full of Utils and other software with manuals, or you can just
download it for free, just like with Linux distributions. You can get SPARC
or Intel version. Source code is supposed to be available in the third
quarter of 2000.
