I thought that was obvious! If there is a formal society, then the member
list on the website should reflect the membership of the society. We could
have it such that anyone can register themselves as an associate member on
the website. To participate in the "formal" business of the society people
would have to register as a regular member so that as a society we can
fulfil the requirements of the registrar of societies like qurom at
meetings etc..
I believe that the spirit of Linux-delhi is to be open to anyone who
subscribes to it's aims and objectives. There are people not resident in
Delhi who are associated with Linux-delhi. They may not be in a position to
attend annual meetings and the like, yet they need to be included in the
membership.
We should not let the formalities associated with a "registered society"
exclude people who share the same vision and objectives.
