Any body here who uses the HP tape drive and who can help this guy??

Sir ,
Regarding abovesaid subject i anticipate ur help in configuring the
device.
1. I'm a new user in the linux world .
2. I've started the configuration as per parport.txt & paride.txt .
3. I'd invoked the modules parport.o , parport_pc.o , paride.o , epat.o
, pt.o in sequence one by one .
4. At the end of execution of pt.o module the LED of Tape drive glows ,
the tape spins for a while and then stops .
5. I dont know where to go from here .
6. Pl let me know how to run the Tape Drive actually after the steps
i've already done . How to configure the Tape Drive to get activated at
boot time or Later at my own will . Since I have been Windows user
from very beginning hence kindly advise me accordingly in a basic way .
