Maybe you should have considered suggesting Corel Linux 1.0 or Caldera
OpenLinux 2.4 to him. I say this because I have had the oppertunity to
evaluate these and many other linux distributions. These are two of the most
user-friendy distros around.

Caldera OpenLinux 2.4 ships with Caldera's version of Partition Magic and
the install can be started from windoze itself.

Again, all that is surprisingly easy to do in distros like Caldera OpenLinux
(at least as easy as in windoze)

I beg to differ, I say the time has come that we Linux ppl can safely say
"Hey chuck windoze and get yourself a Linux box" to every class of user out
there, ".. the only thing that remains to be decided is which distro to get
and that were we can help..."
Discussions/Flames are welcome, I have my fire extinguishers ready...
Cheerio!
