hey , chill dude ... i was just kidding . mebbe u missed that cute littly smiley next to that comment. dont take that remark to heart yaar. and i never said linux isn't about choice , it is , and that's why i "chose" to joke about a microsoft supporter being on a linux list. :-) Dhruv Gami [EMAIL PROTECTED] Amit Tripuraneni wrote:
I completely endorse Vulcan's viewpoint..Well done Vulcan for providing us such an objective answer...And hey Dhruv, Linux is about freedom of choice & spirit...Being loyal to Linux doesn't mean that you will consider other OS's as your competitors or as enemies who should be obilerated from the face of this earth... And anyway, Vulcan has taken a neutral stand point of view & objectively analysed the situation to provide answers to someones query & not simply writing comments like - 'why is this guy still on the list??' Try being positive and analyse the macro-view of the industry.Being a Linux fan doesn't mean that only Linux exists in the market & you will fanatically follow what u think is right for linux.... If such was a case of being a Uni-polar Linux world, why do Linux installations try to accomodate multiple boot? Why is there DOS/Windows Connectivity??Why is there a SAMBA server for NT integration???Why does the latest version of Red Hat i.e. 6.2, have provision for booting into Linux from Windows itself????
THINK BIG, that's what makes a person a better and understanding human being...We are not here to make Linux mailing List, a Hate Forum for venting out your feelings...This is a forum for open discussion where we consider Linux a part of the community, for creation of better understanding of the OS as well as to help each other out as human beings....
From next time please refrain from posting such comments as 'Why is this guy still on the list?' & by the way Dhruv are u using only Linux on ur system or do u have a dual boot with windows???? I think you should apologise to Vulcan for such rude comment....Nobody is forcing you to but atleast put yourself in the other persons shoes...what if you had posted your views on some topic & u get a reply like - 'why is this guy still on the list?' ...isn't it hurting?what happened to the freedom of expression????
Think before you speak... your joke may not be taken in the same light by everyone & everyone is not like you...who can interprete things in the same way as you do....
