Hi!
Friends , I was running a online server with Redhat 6.2(rpm3), for some reason i
have to upgrade to kernel 2.4.2 thus modutils-2.4.3 and hence ultimately upgraded my
rpm 3 to rpm 4. The packages downloaded from ftp:/rpm.redhat.com/pub/rpm/dist
are.......

db3-3.1.14-0.3.6x.i386.rpm
popt-1.6-6x.i386.rpm
rpm-devel-4.0-6x.i386.rpm
db3-devel-3.1.14-0.3.6x.i386.rpm
rpm-4.0-6x.i386.rpm
rpm-python-4.0-6x.i386.rpm
db3-utils-3.1.14-0.3.6x.i386.rpm rpm-build-4.0-6x.i386.rpm

I run rpm -Uvh *.rpm to upgrade the packages. and then
rpm --rebuilddb,
After that no rpm command is running like rpm -qa,rpm -qi etc etc
Please tell where i went wrong , I have no backup of old rpm (/var/lib/rpm dir)
