Subject: IDE Automount and Auto-Umount
Hi,
I wrote an IDE Driver for experimental OS.
Though I have the IDE Specs i read the linux Source code to
get a impression what to do.
Are there any reasons for not using the Flags MCR_ERR & MC_ERR ?
With that we could "automagically" umount a CDROM.
if a user presses the CDROM Button MCR_ERR gets set -> umount DEVICE
OR "automagically" ;) mount a cdrom (MC_ERR will be set when a MEDIA (
CDROM ) is inserted - says my SPEC)
Sorry - i have no time to do this.
Regards
Dietmar

I looked in the store today, couldn't see a "Contract Law for Dummies"
book.
#undef SARCASM_MODE
However, with the feedback from this group I think I can say I have a much
better understanding of GPL now, which is satisfactory for my purposes,
and was what the point of my questioning was...

I'll leave the contract law to contract lawyers, and as they tend to mess
up
with disheartening regularity I'll propose that my reading up on contract
law would not be very constructive, even if I had the time left over after
learning all these new technologies that keep coming along thoroughly.
