1) I need to set up a rule in my filter that looks something like the following: ignore tcp tcp.dest=tcp.www,ip.daddr=129.115.11.1,ip.saddr=<my_dynamic_ip_addr> What can I do to get my dynamic ip address in there? Do I need to declare a variable in the .conf and pull the address in from somewhere or ...? 2) What does the following mean in my syslog? May 31 17:11:10 bugs pppd[15333]: CCP: timeout sending Config-Requests 3) It looks like my ISP is timing out my connection after about 15 mins. I have a restrict up that I would like to stay connected. I don't have this problem on my NT Server, same ISP, etc. Is there some kind of keep-alive signal that NT is sending my ISP to maintain the link that Linux isn't. I don't really want to rig up something ugly like a ping job that runs when the link is supposed to stay up. Note the following line from my syslog: May 31 17:10:12 bugs diald[1614]: Link died on remote end.
