Actually, it simply sets the alias "net-pf-5" to a NULL value so
modproble doesn't go looking for what it's aliased to.  If Appletalk
wasn't compiled into the kernel as a module, the kernel simply doesn't
know about it, and modprobe stupidly tries to load the alias.
