Hi Ed,
got the same message when I created a new diald control fifo, say
/etc/diald/diald.ctrl, and changed the diald command in /etc/diald.conf to "fifo
/etc/diald/diald.ctrl".
Before I did this the control fifo resided in /etc.
Even after I restarted diald it said this "Errors on control fifo: Interrupted
system call".
I had first to remove the old control fifo /etc/diald.fifo, then I had silence
and a working control fifo.
Hope this helps a bit.
