You can no longer use ipfwadm to configure your linux firewall. ipfwadm has become obsolete, the new game in town is called ipchains. http://www.rustcorp.com/linux/ipchains/

Learn it, use it, love it. in addition to ipchains, you may want to pull down the ipmasqadm tool (if you need to to ipautofw stuff).

I cannot seem to get my firewall rules to work on my system. They worked on a 2.0.35 kernel last, but when I upgraded to 2.1.132 they stopped functioning. I noticed some commentary on ipchains and attempted that, but that didn't work. Actually, my server couldn't send anything, let alone the clients, when I converted the ipfwadm calls to ipchains calls. Does anyone know what needs to be used on the 2.1.132 kernel to set up the firewall, and what versions are required to work with diald?
