Just to make sure that my kernel directory was not corrupted I
downloaded the complete 2.2.0-pre9 tarball (previously I had been
applying patches to keep it up-to-date). Grepping this shows that
the only mention of sigcontext_struct is in the PPC architecture
"branch". In all of the others, including i386 it is called simply
sigcontext.
