Hello fellow diald sufferers ;-)

I've found that when certain web pages are loaded in netscape, if I bring down
the link then shut down the browser, some web pages cause http packets to go
back out to the website (well, to my ISP's web cache anyway) immediately which
brings up the link again momentarily for no damn reason.

Anyone know what could be causing this and how to prevent it?

One more thing: given the destination IP address and source and destination port

numbers of a packet, what's the procedure for determining the particular process

ID of the culprit that sent it? I know _of_ tools like netstat and fuser but
I'm still a bit of a dummy with low level IP and I can't work out from the man
pages.

Regards

Ralph
