If what you say is correct then this must be the very best bit of advice I have seen
yet on this list!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have aged about 120 years in the time I have tried
to get the standard diald working ... I have had to make do with an old RPM!

I am now going to rebuild my box and give it a try!!

Cheers
Iain

In order to compile Diald under a Red Hat 5.x, or any other glibc
system, you have to apply the diald-patch first. Once you do this it
should compile just fine. I've compiled diald on three RH 5.2 systems,
and a couple RH 5.1 systems with out any problems.

You can get the patch and instructions for applying it from the Diald
homepage at:

http://www.loonie.net/~eschenk/diald.html

The file you want is "diald-patch-0.16.5.gz" which needs to be applied
over the source for diald-0.16.
