Hi All...
I have posted this message earlier and did not get any reply. Could
somebody please help.
My diald connection breaks after 120 secs saying that it
"Failed to received first packet within 120 seconds . Closing Link down."
I am connecting using an ISDN Internal Card and the link comes up
perfectly. But the above happens.
How should I go about finding out where diald checks for incoming packets.
What should the sl0 link be setup to should it get the new IP address of
the local machine or should it be the one that was specified when
running "ipppd".

Anyone who has got pppd running with diald could you send me the ifconfig
for your sl0 and ppp0 interface while the line is up and line is down. My
sl0 connection reports the local IP address as that given by me in the
config
file.
This is my log file as it happens...
May 14 07:36:14 net-mail pppd[2528]: Remote message:

May 14 07:38:20 net-mail diald[1898]: Running connect
/etc/diald/disconnect.isdn

It looks like diald cannot see the packets coming in and out. I am
continuously using the line and even so the line breaks.
Must be something to do with the setting up of the slip link when the line
goes up. Can anybody tell me how this can be solved.

Thanks in advance.

Bye...Ian
