This is often Windows machines on your LAN doing pointless
DNS lookups. If you can't find the dialog to stop them,
it may help to put the name of your workgroup in /etc/hosts
Generally, you will get fewer name lookups if you use a
cacheing name server instead of just a forwarding one.
