They have worked for me for a long time. You need to be sure your problems are
netbios related first; check in the log for the packets that bring the link up
and look at the port numbers.

Usually diald.conf includes the standard.filter so that it's the same; just
put them before the other rules.

This is another solution, but I prefer to solve all diald related problems
through diald.
