I have seen a couple of situations where diald apparently dies but
leaves pppd running, causing my gateway to be dialled-in for days ...
well, not quite, but more than 24 hours.
First time I noticed only because of the phonebill, last time was this
weekend when I noticed Saturday afternoon that it had died, with the
connection
running for about 20 hours.
I suspect it has to do with me leaving diald-top running (by mistake, not
intentionally), which I can obviously avoid - but even so - this must still
be a problem that should be solved.
Has anyone else seen this behaviour ?
