I have a problem with diald startup up the external link when I am doing an
internal telnet between machines on the local network. I am running local
DNS and the local nameserver talks to the external nameserver even though
the target machine is in the local DNS. I have installed the tcsh patch just
in case but I don't think the problem is there.
Is this a inherent problem with named and/or is there an easy configuration
I can use to fix the problem?
I have thought about placing all the local machines in the hosts file and
configuring resolv.conf to look there first but this defeats the purpose of
running local DNS.
