Ok... Having major hassles with diald in case my previous posts didn't give it away... For starters the link doesn't drop... ever :-) The second (and more major problem) is that I need to do a lpd restart to flush my lp queue once the connection is established... At the moment I'm running that from my connectscript, but it runs it before actually activating the ppp0 connection... Is there any way that I can make sure that it activates the connection first and then runs the /etc/rc.d/init.d/lpd restart script? The docs are slightly vague on some of these points... My other big need is to dial various numbers for different destinations... Where can I find info on this? Apparantly its in the docs but I haven't been able to find it yet.... My config file is as follows : mode ppp connect "/etc/diald/connectscript" device /dev/ttyS0 speed 115200 modem lock crtscts local 10.0.0.1 remote 10.0.0.2 dynamic defaultroute accept tcp 120 tcp.dest=tcp.printer accept tcp 120 tcp.source=tcp.printer my connect script is as follows : /usr/sbin/chat -v "" ATDT0,8884638 CONNECT "" ogin waynepd assword passwd echo "Connected..." >> /etc/diald/connectlog sleep 10 /etc/rc.d/init.d/lpd restart echo "lpd restarted" >> /etc/diald/connectlog /* Wayne Pascoe ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) TEL: +27-11-888-1869 Datrix Solutions FAX: +27-11-782-0704 Perfection is our goal.
