Hello I'm new to this list, so I'm sorry if I ask something that has
already been gone over before.. ;)
Before diald, I had been using kerneld with pppd to get my dialup
connection working and that worked fine until kernel 2.2.* . From then
on, I was unable to get kerneld or kmod working with pppd.
I started using diald and have gone over all the docs. I can find, but I
am having a problem with it connecting to a PAP account. I AM passing
name <loginname> to pppd on the diald command line, but it doesn't seem to
be working. diald is currently dialing up and connecting, but when it is
ready to send login info, it just hangs there until it hangs up. If
anyone can provide help, I'll provide the configuration files I
am currently using. Also is when it dials up, it is supposed to be
creating a network connection for sl0? pppd always created ppp0...
curious if that could be a problem.
OS: slackware 4.0
diald: .16 | .16.5 patch (believe that is the version)
pppd: newest version, can't remember it right now (sorry.. I'm at work)
