as in the othe ranswer, try diald-top or a packet sniffer on ppp0 t
odetermine the source of the traffic (rwho, routed, sendmail are candidates
on the server side, polling mail client programs might be liable on the
client side)

if you find out it really is a windows issue, disable netbios-ssn and
netbios-ns in diald.conf (an example for netbios-ns should be given there;
just uncomment it, copy it and change all -ns to -ssn in the copy)
