yes. windows clients send name resolving requests similar to dns (they call
it netbios-ns). if you don't disable it with the appropriate rules in
diald.conf, diald will treat them as valid packets and dial
I use the following:
ignore tcp tcp.dest=tcp.netbios-ns
ignore tcp tcp.source=tcp.netbios-ns
ignore tcp tcp.source=tcp.netbios-ns,tcp.dest=tcp.netbios-ns
ignore tcp tcp.dest=tcp.netbios-ssn
ignore tcp tcp.source=tcp.netbios-ssn
ignore tcp tcp.source=tcp.netbios-ssn,tcp.dest=tcp.netbios-ssn
(the -ssn rules are just to go sure; i never really trust windows ;-)
