mswin uses netbios-ns calls (not "real" dns, if i am not mistaken).
a) try setting up samba to act as wins server
b) disable netbios-ns connections in diald.conf:
ignore tcp tcp.dest=tcp.netbios-ns
ignore tcp tcp.source=tcp.netbios-ns
ignore tcp tcp.source=tcp.netbios-ns,tcp.dest=tcp.netbios-ns
