I have no idea where it hides but ISTR being able to remove it from the

Also from that thread, I posted the following:
It sounds like windows, are you using IP Masquerading? From what I have seen
windows periodically does a DNS lookup of workgroup.your.domain.
Try turning off the 'browse master' option on your windows machines.
Network Properties->File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft
Networks->Properties->Browse Master->disabled.
I have 95 and 98 loaded on PCs behind a linux Masquerading firewall and have not
seen the problem (browse master is turned off). If I remember correctly
somewhere during the 98 install I said no to automatic updates.
