Hello--

I'm attempting to run diald on a newly installed RedHat 6.0. Its my first
experience with diald, and I believe that my configuration is bad. I was
wondering if someone could assist me.

First off, I have both dip and pppd able to connect to the remote network. Once
connected, IP Masquerade works without any problems.

Using the same pppd script that is called by "pppd call <server>", diald
attempts to call pppd, however, pppd complains that the port is locked already.
I attempted hacking it a bit to have the port that diald is concerned with to be
/dev/null, at which case pppd is able to call the server, however, is
disconnected practically immediately. On some occassions, it has connected,
however, it setup the route table in such a way that nothing was going anywhere;
After some hacking, IP Masquerade didn't work, however, if I recall correctly, I
was able to ping remote servers OK.

I believe that my problem is with the pppd script. Are there any pppd scripts
available so that I could try that? Especially an example with IP Masquerade
would be greatly helpful.

Thank you for any assistance in this matter. It is greatly appreciated. Have a
great day!
