did you remember to set the IP stuff in the windows client? IP, Subnet,
Gateway, DNS, etc.

Thanks to everyone for the ideas.
I did forget to specifically say I can ping either IP or domain names
outside teh local network from the Linux box using diald, ie. diald works
from the Linux box.
/proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward is set (Any difference in the behavior with
values higher than "1"? I've seen messages with a "5" and a "7".)
I've
tried both ways: /etc/sysconfig/network and using echo.
Do I need to set /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_dynaddr and does a value greater
than "1" make a difference?
