First, you must delete the part of the chat script that waits for login
and password. Chat must finish after dialing. Here is my connect script for
diald:
/usr/sbin/chat -f /etc/chatscripts/provider
and the provider file:
ABORT BUSY
ABORT "NO CARRIER"
ABORT VOICE
ABORT "NO DIALTONE"
ABORT "NO ANSWER"
OK ATDT123456789
CONNECT \d\c
as you can see, chat exists after receiving the CONNECT string. Now,
pppd is started, and you need to set the pap-secrets or chap-secrets file,
as your ISP requests, and set the username in the diald.options file, under
the pppd-options directive:
pppd-options noauth user herethelogonname
If you need my complete diald.options file as a reference, please, email
me.
Bye.
