Salut Thanks to all people who help me bringing my configuration up and running. For information, a brief report : diald 0.16-5, kernel 2.0.36, isdn4linux I use diald over isdn and masquerading to provide internet access to w95 clients on our LAN. Our provider is using dynamic ip. With the basic configuration get from diald and isdn4linux packages, i had 2 problems : - Default route not set every time : This is because the ippp0 interface is always present, and dynamically change its addresses, causing the routes already set to be destroyed in this case. FIX : use ppp's ip-up script to set the default route. (diald's addroute unusable cause it is called *before* ipppd set the new addresses) - the first packet witch bring the link up get loose (addresse change confuse masquerading) FIX : /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_dyaddr set to 3 or more (see /Documentations/networking/ip_dynaddr.txt) There is still some boring details : sometimes there is 2 default-route through ippp0; diald can't know the new adresse (the connect script trigger a dial and return immediatly, and other ways diald use to get the adresse don't work); BUT it work very well in the client-side, every try to access internet succeed : no more 'reload' needs and there is always a way out :) -- A++ Yann Cantin -- - To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe linux-diald" in the body of a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
