I run a pentium 60 with redhat 5.2 acting as a server on a small network of
mixed Windows 95, 98, and linux clients. masquerading is configured for
access to the internet via ppp. Manual connection via ppp works fine.
Introducing diald into the configuration is OK for everything apart from web
browsing. Browsing is fine initially but after a while the link gets tired
and hangs particularly on large or complex pages, downloads etc. Errors
such as ' The connection with the server was reset' appear frequently.
Using Netscape on a linux client significantly reduces the problem although
it does not eliminate it.
Any hints or advise?
