Put a restrict statement into diald.conf
like the following example:

restrict 17:00:00 22:00:00 1-5 * *
up
restrict * * * * *

the 1-5 tells it to keep the line up monday thru friday between 5 and 10
pm.
you can have multiple sets of these by make the next line of rules
or-restrict.

Do a man diald-examples and it will go into detail with some examples of
what you want to do
