I think I got the same problem, but still I can not solve it. 

I made the tap modifications in /etc/conf.modules as Lazarus Long emailed.
I did from tap 0 to tap 15.

Also I tried     tcpport 6500 in diald.conf but still the same problem, it
starts PPP and then I receive a IPCP terminated by peer message and
LCP terminated by peer, SIGHUP.

Any help will be appreciated.
