Hi there,

This may not be directly related to diald.
Hope some of you out there experience this before and shed some light.

I am using IP masquerading and diald for my network to access the internet.

Everything works fine except for the local mail that was send out the the
internet and back to the local server.

Question;
How do I prevent local mails from sending out to the internet and then back
to the local mail server?

Here is the brief setup:
Local Site-> Linux Server (diald+ IP Masq) -> ISP

Linux Server domain - domain.local
Internet Domain - domain.com.sg

Their current email pop client setup:
(This setup works well with all internet address but local mail gets sent
out too)
"Incoming mail server' - domain.local
(i used fetchmail to collect the mail from the domain.com.sg)
"Outgoing mail server" - coname.com.sg
User return address - [EMAIL PROTECTED]
User email address - [EMAIL PROTECTED]

I tried to change the "Outgoing mail server" to domain.local
(works well with local mail but internet mails got relaying denied 550 error)
It works if I put the domains in the /etc/mail/relay-domains.
e.g - I can send to abc.com.sg if I have an entry(abc.com.sg)
in the relay-domains

Where should I go and look for to solve this problem?

I read somewhere about smarthost on sendmail.cf.
Is this the file that I need to modify?

Thanks in advance.
