Hi there,
Thanks to the people above for all the contribution that help solved my
problem.
Special thanks to Bob for the FEATURE(accept_unresolvable_domains).
I think that line play an important role in not activating the diald.
Now local mails gets delivered without diald activation.
Internet mail will activate diald and send the queued mail out.
Here are the changes that I made and it worked.
1) /etc/rc.d/rc.M (change the sendmail -bd -q15m to sendmail -bd)
2) add the FEATURE(accept_unresolvable_domains) to my /etc/sendmail.cf
3) add /etc/service.switch
4) added the local and remote ip in diald.conf to my /etc/hosts file
5) change my /etc/ppp/ip-up and ip-down to do the respective jobs (sendmail
-q and fetchmail)
Some of the above may not be needed but hey it works so I am not going to
change anything until something is not working correctly.
Thanks guys, I would not have done it without all your expert suggestions.
